Comments: Bizzy
is head-honcho on our farm. He had an illustrious show careeer (see
below). Bizzy has produced outstanding offspring (see sidebar), with
more expected this Spring. His progeny exhibit the same sturdiness and
strong bone, excellent conformation, tall and straight with great legs
and proportions; the same dense, fine, lustrous fleece with tremendous
coverage and staple length; the same curiousness, intelligence and
friendliness as their prizewinning sire.
Bizzy is one of a
small number of full-Bolivian herdsires available for breeding in the
area, his genetics should enrich many a breeding program. Bizzy produced
3 dark rose-greys, when bred to black! Rare indeed, "Bizzy means
Business"!
Awards:

Comments: Black Diamond has matured into a fine male. He began
breeding this past Fall, successfully settling his first female, our
Black Beauty, at his very first attempt. Black Diamond exhibits very
correct conformation and a sound bite; he is easy to handle and gets
along extremely well with all of the other males at our farm. His sire
is one of the finest grey herdsires to be found anywhere, Request the
Best (a multiple blue ribbon winner, including three successive first
place prizes at the prestigious AOBA National Conference from 1997-1999;
sire to >80% greys of all hues and blacks). Black Diamond's grandsire
was the rose grey Cisco Kid, sire to the famous General Schwarzkopf, and
his dam is also a medium silver grey. With bloodlines like these, we are
confident that he promises to be a surefire bet to throw magnificent,
strong-boned, robust greys and blacks for many years to come.
Awards: Black Diamond took 1st Place at the Central New
York Alpaca Classic 2001, in the shorn Black Yearling Huacaya
class. Anthony Stachowski judged him to be an "outstanding
alpaca"---enough said! |

Llambi's Herdsire,
El Patron |
|
Comments: Harallambi is the son of Godiva, a bay black Chilean
female, and El Patron, (AOBA's 1997 Grand Champion and winner of
multiple blue ribbons). Harallambi? --- according to his namesake (and
our friend) Harry Harallambi, this means "The Satisfier" in his native
Albanian. Since Harry has the tendency to exaggerate somewhat, the
derivation of this name remains at best, dubious. This having been said,
we feel that "Llambi" is earmarked for the same success as his famous
herdsire (and his equally reowned grandsire, Accoyo Caligula, who took
the 1st Place Get of Sire in 1997 at AOBA), because he definitely has
their proud presence, large size, strong bone, abundant testicles and a
most pleasing head. He has dense, uniform, medium fawn fleece with bold
crimp. We haven't use Llambi yet, but he is ready to breed now. We
intend to let him satisfy the girls this Spring.
Awards: "LLambi" went
to the head of his class as 1st Place Light Huacaya Juvenile Male at the
Central New York Alpaca Classic. The judge, Dr. Anthony Stachowski,
commented on his "beautiful topline", on how he "moves out nicely front
and back", and on his "exquisite head". He also took a 2nd Place Ribbon
as well, at the very competitive "Big E" 2001. |
